NeNe & Pop vist!

We are so thankful that both sets of grandparents have been able to come see us every year.  The kids have so much fun and it is a blessing to us.  NeNe & Pop arrived a week before Christmas and we had a great time.  They kept the kids for 2 days so that Nathan and I could get away for our 15th anniversary.  They also celebrated their 40th anniversary-here with us.
We enjoyed fun times here at home, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day celebrations, a day in Aqaba, and a day in Petra.  It was a great trip!  Here are some pics from Christmas Eve baking, our own production of the Christmas story, and Christmas morning.

Beach Pictures!

We went to a nearby city to do some Christmas shopping and got to spend some time at the beach as well! Always a plus-here are some pictures from that day-they grow up so fast.

Sassy Sadie

As discussed previously, Sadie has more hair now than the older three kids had at age 2.  This creates a bit of dilemma when it comes to hair bows and such.  Much to the dismay of Honey and Nene I am not the best at making the girls wear hair bows.  I have usually been able to put it off until they had hair and loved to wear them and now that Sadie's hair is longer we are trying to get her to keep something in her hair.
Honey brought her a hat that apparently you clip cute flowers and bows on.  (One of the many things that we are out of the loop on :)  She really wouldn't have anything to do with it and immediately pulled it off whenever we tried to put it on.
Well one day the kids wanted to try her cute ballerina skirt that the Jenkins sent her for her birthday.  So we put it on and tried on the hat with the feather.  At first all she could do was try to get it off, UNTIL I put her in front of the mirror.  Once she saw that cute baby she couldn't take her eyes of her-loved her and kissed her!
Got to get this off!
I'm so cute!

Honey & Gov's Visit

We arrived home from Turkey and less than a week later, Honey and Gov came to visit.  They were here through Thanksgiving and we had a wonderful time.   They had been to our country before, but not to our new house in the village.  We got to show them around our village and did a little bit of site seeing.
We mostly just enjoyed having them with us, playing games, decorating the Christmas tree and enjoying their cooking.
We had Christmas and Thanksgiving while they were here and in that order.  It did feel a little weird having Christmas before Thanksgiving, but this way the kids got to enjoy their presents all week.
Thanksgiving was wonderful with Gov cooking a big Turkey and friends coming over to join us for the day.  It was wonderful-here are a few pictures from the week and hopefully we will have some more soon!
