So yesterday morning, I went to wakeup Joshua for his shower at 630am. I opened the shutters in this room to let the sun in and looked out the window. I couldn't believe what I saw-a couple of inches of snow on the ground and cars. It was on the road too, but already melting fast. We haven't seen snow in a while and didn't quite expect to see it here, quite so soon. They do get snow here often, especially in the mountains. However, last week Joshua was wearing shorts to school as it was about 75 F during the day.
It ended up being such a fun day. The kids didn't have school so we stayed home the whole day. We watched movies, read books (we are reading The Voyage of the Dawn Treader outloud together), and worked around the house. We of course had to have some hot chocolat. The kids went out in the snow first thing, but they didn't last long. It was very cold and then started raining!
Here are a few pictures of the snow:
We hope you enjoy our blog-reading about our adventures and seeing pictures of our family. We are so grateful for the GRACE He has shown us, the HOPE that He gives us, and want to live a life full of JOY because of Him.
We are thankful you are on this journey with us.

Sadie Joy
Sorry it has taken us so long to post this, but we do have a new addition. Sadie Joy Parvin was born on October 16, 2010 (Nathan's birthday) at 9:15pm our time. She weighed in at only 3.27kg about 7lbs 3oz-our smallest baby! She also has dark hair-another first for us. She is a great baby and we are all enjoying her. She doesn't have to go very long without someone wanting to hold her and take care of her.
I have recovered very easily-thanks to a great husband that takes care of me and the kids, as well as some great helpers-Joshua, Evie & Lailie.
Honey & Gov arrived on Friday and we are enjoying time with grandparents. I will post a few pics below and will try to update more often.

Pictures
I am posting a link to our mobile me gallery where you will find all our latest pictures-some new albums from Lailie's birthday, baby shower, and a trip to the zoo. I hope to be posting soon some pictures from our vacation in Egypt. My plan is to post some pictures in the blog and then include the link for those who want more! Please feel free to give me any suggestions or ideas that will you help you better.

A New Beginning
We recently decided that it would be easier for everyone if we use this blog setup. We named the blog Grace, Hope & Joy because we know these have been significant blessings in our lives. They are also the middle names of our girls! And yes, Joshua is ok with this and liked the idea. We couldn't figure out a way to include Eric into the title.
Hopefully, this blog will make it easier for everyone to follow along on our adventures and view our pictures and videos. We love to hear from you so please let us know what is happening on your side of the world.
